Kshitij Patwardhan is an Indian screenwriter, lyricist, playwright and publisher from Mumbai.
Kshitij's latest lyrical work for the film Haseen Dillruba has earned him his maiden Hindi Filmfare nomination for best lyrics. He has written two film projects with prestigious MADDOCK films, one of which ‘HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY’ (dialogues and Additional Screenplay) starring Nimrat Kaur and Radhika Madan is in the shooting stage. He has also written story, screenplay and dialogues for the heart-warming drama series TAALI starring Sushmita Sen for VOOT SELECT.
11 times Filmfare award (Marathi) nominated, he has won 3, one for the screenplay, dialogue and lyrics each. Along with this, he is the recipient of the united nation population fund's national creative excellence award for social change, Zee Gaurav, Star Pravah Ratna, Tarun Tejankit and Master Dinanath Sanman given by the Mangeshkar family.
His impeccable track record of 11 Marathi films as a writer, and 55 films as a lyricist has made him one of the most respected and celebrated writers across Maharashtra.

Kshitij has eleven Marathi films to his credit as a story, screenplay, and dialogue writer. His work includes critically acclaimed, commercially successful, and culturally significant films like CLASSMATES, DOUBLE SEAT, TIME PLEASE, YZ, FASTER FENE, and DHURALA.
LYRICS
As one of the most versatile lyricists in Marathi, Kshitij has displayed his lyrical prowess in more than thirty films. Some of his films are BAAPJANMA, HALF TICKET, POSTER GIRL, BAGHTOS KAY MUJARA KAR, DAGDI CHAWL, DOUBLE SEAT, GIRLFRIEND, and KHARI BISCUIT.
ADVERTISING WRITING
As a copywriter and creative consultant, he has done advertising work for top-notch brands like STAR SPORTS, JOHN DEERE TRACTORS, LOKMAT, SAKAL, SARASWAT BANK, and many more. He has written multiple campaigns for popular Marathi brands. His work includes the campaigns for Pro Kabaddi League 2015 and 2017.
WEB WRITING
Kshitij has written lyrics for two popular web shows, EK THI BEGUM and ONCE A YEAR. He has also created first-ever Marathi YouTube Chanel dedicated to writers, lyricists, and poets, named WRITER FIRST. He is the creator behind the popular YOUTUBE series 'WAGH CHA SWAG' performed by Marathi actor Amey Wagh.
THEATRE
Kshitij's stint in the theatre has cast a magical spell. He has written trendsetting plays like NAVA GADI NAVA RAJYA and DONN SPECIAL. These plays collectively completed seven hundred shows and have won more than fifty awards.
PUBLISHING
As a publisher, he has published ‘first of its kind’ illustrative Marathi novel ‘DARYA’.
